Tribal Nations in Oklahoma Metadata is a collaborative project of the Metadata Justice Collective of librarians and archivists in Oklahoma. The purpose of the site is to provide a central location for subject terminology related to Tribal Nations that utilizes the Nations' preferred names for themselves. These have been gathered from the Nations' websites, constitutions, and public facing communications published by the Nations. The provenance--or where the names were found--is viewable by clicking on the speech bubble next to the name. Suggestions for additions and changes, especially when they include references, are welcome.
