Why this exists
Oklahoma's built environment is well documented everywhere except where it centers Sovereign Tribal Nations. This bibliography names people and places accurately, and surfaces the living, contemporary work of Indigenous architects and communities alongside the historic record.
Built by OSU Libraries with the ALA Carnegie-Whitney Award, in consultation with community advisors and tribal libraries across the state.
