Abstract
-
Bruce Goff was an American architect, educator, artist, and composer whose work stands as the record of an incredibly creative mind. Goff is predominantly known as an architect, but his achievements in other areas should not be underestimated even if they are often overlooked. The purpose of this research is to elucidate the connections between Goffs architectural designs and his two-dimensional compositions. The inquiry of this study is confined to seven buildings and thirteen paintings. Both the buildings and paintings are discussed in terms of visual elements. Similarities between his building designs and painting compositions are noted in the Conclusion.
